About us
STREETSCAPE is led by lived expertise in homelessness, balanced with reality and evidence-based best practices.
Streetscape is a Boulder, Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness through immediate access to life-improving resource referrals, providing community-driven outreach, and sustained peer mentorship. We connect individuals experiencing homelessness in Boulder County to addiction recovery programs, employment opportunities, housing pathways, person-centered resources, and a supportive community of peers who have walked in their shoes.
Who we are
OUR MISSION
Streetscape cuts through bureaucracy with peer-led community outreach and navigation, ensuring immediate, accessible pathways to health and wellness resources, stable housing, and ongoing peer support to increase long-term success and sustainability.
OUR VISION
Streetscape envisions a future where the cycle of chronic homelessness is broken through addiction recovery, comprehensive healthcare, employment opportunities, and stable housing.
About our founder.
Jennifer Livovich doesn’t just study homelessness; she lived it.
By age 38, an abusive marriage and a battle with alcoholism left her surviving on the streets of Boulder, Colorado. Five years of homelessness and criminal justice run-ins followed, until a severe case of frostbite served as a brutal wake-up call.
Jennifer chose a different path. She got sober, rebuilt her life, and earned a degree in Human Services from Colorado State University.
Turning Pain into Purpose
Instead of leaving her past behind, Jennifer went back for the people still trapped in homelessness. She has since launched two major initiatives:
Feet Forward (Founded 2020, dissolved by the board after Jennifer’s departure in December 2023): A nonprofit delivering direct, on-the-ground support to Boulder’s unhoused community.
Streetscape: Her latest venture, which uses peer support and "wrap-around" services to tackle the root causes of homelessness—addiction and mental health—head-on.
The Streetscape Philosophy: The best people to solve homelessness are those who have actually survived it.
Today, Jennifer is Boulder's go-to expert on the crisis. With a highly influential 4-point plan gaining serious traction, she’s proving that lived experience is the most powerful tool for real change.
