About us

STREETSCAPE is led by lived expertise in homelessness, balanced with reality and evidence-based best practices.

Who we are

Streetscape is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Boulder, CO, providing essential support and advocacy for individuals currently or formerly experiencing homelessness and low-income families.

We are a peer-led organization, meaning our team is composed of individuals who have personally experienced homelessness. This unique perspective, combined with evidence-based practices, ensures our services are informed by firsthand knowledge, empathy, and compassion.

Our mission is to remove barriers preventing access to critical resources, healthcare, and stable housing.

We offer comprehensive wraparound support, including referrals to local services such as shelters, mental health programs, legal aid, and employment assistance. Through our partnership with our Continuum of Care (CoC) Metro Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI), our Taking it to the Streets Mobile Outreach conducts on-site housing assessments and assists with housing applications, when available. We even provide pet food and other supplies.

Join us to empower change and help stabilize lives in our community.

OUR MISSION

OUR VISION

About our founder.

Jennifer Livovich's journey is one of resilience and transformation. Despite early aspirations, life took a turn, leading her to battle alcoholism and homelessness in Boulder, Colorado, by age 38 after an abusive marriage. She spent five challenging years on the streets, resulting in numerous run-ins with the criminal justice system.

A severe case of frostbite became her turning point toward sobriety. Through a transitional sober program, she embraced accountability, repaired relationships, and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Colorado State University.

Driven by her personal experience, Livovich founded the nonprofit Feet Forward in 2020 to provide direct support and resources to the homeless community. Her newest endeavor, Streetscape, centers the expertise of people with lived experience, with peer support as its cornerstone. Streetscape emphasizes comprehensive wrap-around services addressing addiction and mental health challenges for individuals transitioning to stable housing.

Livovich's dedication has made her a go-to expert for solving Boulder's homelessness crisis. Her influential 4-point plan has gained significant attention, solidifying her commitment to caring for people experiencing homelessness.
